Chiropractic Care for Wellness

You have routine dental exams and cleanings to maintain your oral health by a professional dentist, so why not do the same for your spine and body by a Professional Wellness Chiropractor in Plymouth, MN? Chiropractic wellness care is recommended for patients who want to maintain joint movement and promote overall wellness. By proactively addressing any misalignments before they devolve into painful issues, wellness care offers a holistic solution for keeping your joints and spine healthy.

The truth is, most joint mobility problems start to develop long before people realize they are affected. Once pain is present, it indicates an issue has already progressed to the point where reactionary treatments are necessary. In these instances, the patient’s quality of life is affected not only by the stress and pain caused by their injury but also from the financial burden associated with frequent medical visits or surgery. And while reactionary treatments can help relieve pain, they don’t prevent injuries from happening in the first place–that’s what wellness care is for.

At Bomberg Chiropractic, we understand each person’s body is different, so we never take a cookie-cutter approach to your care. Dr. Bomberg spends time getting to know each patient to develop the most effective wellness plan possible. Contact us today to schedule an appointment!

What is Wellness Chiropractic Care?

Wellness chiropractic care is a type of preventative healthcare. Treatments are focused on preventing joint mobility issues, rather than promoting recovery from existing injuries.

Whether you’ve had mobility issues in the past or simply want to function at the highest level, you’re a good candidate for wellness care. Regular chiropractic adjustments are good for your general health and allow Dr. Bomberg to locate and correct subluxations that can affect everything in your body.

Most people who are proactive about their health undergo annual medical checkups and screenings, like Pap smears, colonoscopies, mammograms, and blood tests. We do this because preventing diseases is typically much easier and less painful than curing them. It’s the same case with your joints and spine–maintenance in the form of wellness chiropractic care is easier, less painful, and less expensive in the long run compared to reactionary treatments.

Does Health Insurance Cover Wellness Chiropractic Care?

Many patients come to Bomberg Chiropractic with injuries or pain–situations where care is considered medically necessary according to the guidelines through the insurance companies. For care to be deemed medically necessary, there must be a reasonable expectation it will encourage improvement or recovery of the patient’s issues.

On the other hand, some patients seek chiropractic care for overall wellness. They may have recovered from an injury and want to maintain progress, or perhaps they have a chronic issue and need to control flare-ups. Some patients come to us with no issues at all; they just want to function at the highest level possible, so they work with Dr. Bomberg to achieve their wellness goals.

Unfortunately, most health insurance companies offer chiropractic coverage for medically necessary care only. This means that wellness care services at Bomberg Chiropractic are usually not covered by insurance, and patients must pay out of pocket. It’s something beyond our control–for the most part, medical care in the United States is “sick care,” not healthcare. Once a person’s symptoms are gone, insurance won’t cover additional treatments.

That said, wellness care is typically more cost-effective than treating a severe injury. Frequent visits, pain medications, or surgeries can create a financial strain for patients and families.
