Scar tissue can form inside our bodies when normal tissue is damaged by injury, disease, or surgery. It forms during the body’s natural healing process when it quickly lays down collagen to stabilize the area. This results in tough, fibrous tissue that is different from the original tissue. If not properly addressed, scar tissue can lead to pain, restricted movement, and discomfort.
